Pasalnya, truk ini diduga mengangkut bawang merah dan bawang putih ilegal yang berasal dari India. Dari penangkapan ini, polisi pun mengamankan dua orang lelaki yang membawa truk tersebut.
“Keduanya yakni TF (31), Wiraswasta, warga Gampong Geudong Tampu, Kecamatan Kota Juang, Bireuen dan JL (41), Wiraswasta, warga Gampong Juli Paseh, Kecamatan Juli, Bireuen,” ujar Kabid Humas Polda Aceh, Kombes Pol Misbahul Munauwar, Jumat (4/5/2018) di Banda Aceh.
Selain mengamankan truk dan dua pelaku, polisi juga mengamankan 250 karung berisikan bawang merah peking dan 250 karung bawang putih. Penangkapan ini dilakukan Rabu (3/5/2018) lalu, sekira pukul 15.30 WIB.
Penangkapan dilakukan saat tim Opsnal sedang melakukan patroli di jalan Banda Aceh Medan, tepatnya di kawasan Gampong Paya Kerleh, Kecamatan Lembah Seulawah.
Saat ini, seluruh barang bukti dan dua orang pelaku masih diamankan di Mapolres Aceh Besar untuk dilakukan penyelidikan dan pengembangan lebih lanjut. (hafiz)
